Award for Best Coach of the Month in the K League Flex in June… That’s two in a row!
During May and June, the team has shown steady progress, the result of a clear game plan, cohesion in the vestry and a lot of hard work every day. In this context, receiving the Coach of the Month award twice in a row is a recognition that I particularly value, not only for what it represents for the team, but also for its historical significance: since this award was created in 2014, no foreign coach had ever won it two months in a row.
In May, we went on a seven-game unbeaten streak, with five wins and two draws, and the team has managed to maintain that competitive level in a demanding schedule. The identity we are building — with a dynamic, supportive and ambitious style — reflects the commitment within the club.
Receiving this kind of recognition, including a trophy, from the Korean Professional League is a sign that we are on the right track. But the most important thing remains our day-to-day work and our collective goal: to continue growing together and stay in the fight until the end of the season.
